Deep-Reef Discovery
Scientists retrieved 13 monitoring structures from deep reefs off Guam, between 55 and 100 meters down. The devices collected 2,000 specimens, including 100 species never recorded locally and at least 20 new to science.

Unexpected Warming
Sensors showed ocean warming is reaching the twilight zone, once thought sheltered from climate impacts.

Protecting the Unknown
The Guam mission launches a two-year effort to study 76 deep-reef sites across the Pacific and strengthen protection for these fragile ecosystems.
