The emperor among angelfish produces unique and individual "knocking" sounds to communicate.
His body is covered with thin blue and yellow stripes. His head is blue and crowned with bulging lips. His anal fin glows yellow.
The young animals are dark blue with light blue and white stripes, which draw oval patterns on their flanks.
Predatory fish
The Emperor Angelfish is neither dangerous nor venomous.

1. Dark stripe over eyes
2. Blue and yellow stripes
As the name suggests, this one also prefers to travel alone or in pairs.
He vehemently defends his territory, which can extend over astonishingly wide areas, and is haremic. He particularly likes to find his home in the protective maze of coral reefs. Sponges are at the top of his menu there.
The young animals like to hide in small holes in shallow water. As with all angelfish, it is also true that the young animals look completely different from the adults, which makes it not easy for us to identify them.
The Emperor Angelfish is a very common example and he is also not too afraid of diving.
