Features

After about an hour's boat ride from Zadar, the tip of the rear mast of the shallow giant Michelle rises out of the water.

After Michelle ran aground in 1983, it rested for years above the water's surface, from a distance it almost looked like it was still floating and waiting for its next journey.

Over time it sank deeper into the seabed, weather and waves left their marks on the wreck.

Today, not much remains of the structures and masts, however, the hull with its 76 m length and 10 m width is impressively embedded among bright sand, dark rocks, and seagrass.

Michelle also offers a wonderful wreck experience for beginners, as those who want to explore the entire wreck do not need to dive deeper than 10 m.

Besides divers, snorkelers also enjoy the view of the shallow giant.

Those who explore the interior of Michelle a bit more closely can discover shadow fish in the dark corners, which are typical for Croatian waters.
