This dive site is affectionately called “Middle Finger” by the locals – over millennia, this rock formation has been shaped by the tides.
The tip of the “Middle Finger” is only 8 m below the surface but drops down to 50 m. The narrow channel between this rock and the shore is 35 meters deep, while the seabed on the sea side drops steeply to over 100 meters.
This dive site is suitable for Advanced, Technical, and Open Water Divers as long as depth limits are observed.
Tech divers are welcomed at 63 m depth by a huge 3-pronged anchor that protrudes from the reef wall.
The nearby reef on the west side of Ras Il-Hobz, which is only 5 m deep, is excellent for exploring during deco and safety stops.
