Features

After the river diving adventure in the Krka, a second dive in the estuary of the river is worthwhile.

All around the fortress ruins of Sveti Nikola, various underwater worlds await.

Where sweet and saltwater mix (brackish water), conditions can be found that are usually expected in the Mexican cenotes.

The dive starts at the water's surface in sweet water, and the deeper you go, the higher the salt content becomes. At the bottom, at about 40 m depth, you find yourself in regular saltwater, where carpets of mussels and clams feel at home.  Also monkfish, bream or the odd gurnard call this environment home.

Caution is advised in the area of the river mouth, as there may be denser boat traffic.
